Funding via Skills for Care

Funding for Oliver McGowan Training

Eligible adult social care employers can access funding for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. We are an approved provider with Skills for Care, so the process is smooth.

In short

Eligible adult social care employers in England can access funding for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training through Skills for Care. Fox Training Solutions is an approved provider with Skills for Care, which means the claim process is straightforward rather than a paperwork exercise.

You have two routes: pay us directly, or claim the cost back through Skills for Care funding. Most employers we speak to are eligible and did not realise it.

Four steps from enquiry to reimbursement

  1. Set up your free ASC-WDS account. Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set registration is free and takes a short while to complete. It is the mechanism Skills for Care uses to confirm eligibility — if you already have an account, you are ahead.
  2. Tell us your numbers. Send your staff roles and headcount and we will confirm which tiers apply and issue a bespoke quotation, usually within one working day.
  3. Book and deliver the training. We agree dates around your rota. Tier 1 runs live online; for Tier 2 we come to your venue anywhere in the UK.
  4. Claim through Skills for Care. After delivery you submit your claim with the evidence we provide. Because we are an approved provider, our documentation is what Skills for Care expects to see.

Do not leave money unclaimed

The funding pot for Oliver McGowan training is finite and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Employers who wait until the end of the funding year regularly find the money has gone, and end up paying in full for training they were entitled to have funded.

If you are unsure whether you qualify, ask us before you do anything else. A five-minute conversation is usually enough to establish whether funding is open to you, and we will tell you honestly if it is not.

Registered charities: heavily reduced rates

Charities cannot currently access the Skills for Care funding route, which we think is a genuine gap. We offer registered charities heavily reduced rates so that the training remains affordable. If you work for a charity that needs this training, mention your charity status when you get in touch.

Prices, published

Tier 1 is £30 per person for up to 30 delegates. Tier 2 is £90 per person for up to 25 delegates. Those are our standard rates and we publish them because managers should be able to budget without chasing a quote. Group size, travel and bespoke requirements can change the final figure, which is why every enquiry gets a proper written quotation rather than a guess.

The funding pot is limited. Your obligation isn't.

Tell us your staff numbers and location — we'll send a bespoke quotation and explain your funding options within one working day.
